|
|
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew some good pre-hab knee routines for gymnastics, or could point out a site that contains one? I'm sure with the amount of pressure that gets placed on the knees in this activity, it must be of some importance to keep the area around it strong (although I'm thinking of different stuff to squats, pistols, etc).
I have a niggle in my knee that comes and goes, and I'd like to devote time to it and get rid of it completely.
Thanks,
Macaco |

Proper mechanics, proper mechanics, proper mechanics.
Just move correctly and squat regularly. _________________ TipGuy

Tipguy, do you know how many reps are good for pre-hab oriented squatting?
I generally squat for lower reps, but have a feeling this is not helpful to injury prevention really. |

Include bodyweight or "air" squats in your warm ups regularly. 10-20 reps. Heavy squatting is good as well as long as mechanics are sound, but for general knee movement low load is better. _________________ TipGuy
