If I see it right, this is basically a 1+1/2 hop over the bar.
Ive been working blindchange full piro with my gymnast but he is missing the hop element to make it a true release.
Any suggestions on how to progress past this point?
Giants are solid, very nice tap. We have not done giant hops, as I was hoping there was a bit of a safer drill to do before moving right into that.
Any suggestions?

Would a back extension roll hop 1/2 work it? Or would that be too late on the pull?
Any thoughts are welcome.
