Hello!
Any drills, tips, things I need to keep in mind when trying to cast out of a kip? It would be so nice if there was something I needed to think about to help me become better at that . Other than just sheer practice.

I am receiving all types of deductions for stops in my bars routine..

any tips?
thanks!

It's all about the kip. Your kip needs to rise above your legs to arrive in a hollow support with your shoulders well forward of the bar. Just kipping to support is not sufficient. At the extension of your glide (assuming a glide kip), when you bring your feet to the bar, do so quickly and maintain pressure back on the bar keeping your hips high in front, then as you kip keep your legs high and really push down on the bar so you can finish with your legs still in front of you and in a high support. When you do it correctly the cast is a very natural extension of the kip.
