I see people do this little warm-up and it's usually a smooth motion. All that jerking around she's doing looks counterproductive. Does it matter?

Snapping to full extension is generally not good for joints. She may just be squeezing tight right at the extension point, it would be hard to tell if what she is doing is damaging just from this video.

all of my friends that coach that are russian do this in all of their warm ups. ill have to ask them next time i talk to them just why they do it.
