Not quite as interesting and entertaining as the first edition...but it was still fun. I'm very weak on bars and my pullovers are ...."right there"....but not quite. So, I use a block to help kick up (actually right now, I can probably do them without a block...it's a mental thing).

Anyway, enjoy and feel free to suggest things to try to improve my bars. Smile

Your tap swing is in your hips not your diaphraghm, thorasic, or breastbone area. Squeeze your butt and swing your body there. Mastering the hollow on floor is key.

The trick to pullovers is leg lifts and pullups. Work variants of them till you can do them with ease. Learn to do a pullup to your sternum and lift your hips as high as possible.

Lots of casting, lots of single rail dips or regular dips. Hanging L and hanging straddle L holds. Leg lifts. Maybe one of those ab wheels.

Thanks Coach! Wink I'm getting there, it's definitely a strength issue I'm working on. When I first started working on bars, I could barely swing back and forth in the hanging position, much less do anything. Very Happy

You're welcome. I need to ask TipGuy maybe to change my handle. I only use the name Coach Blair cause it's something the itty bittys have called me.
I have never addressed any of my coaches when I competed in sports anything but " Coach ( and never dared to use their first name ) " since I, myself was an itty-bitty.
There are coaches here who are very much my senior though I would consider myself journeyman level.

That was a pretty neat release move though. Never thought about teaching it to someone at the beginner stages. Hmm...

Once I'm stronger and can swing better, I'll be able to straddle under. And once I can kip, I can add that. And honestly, I taught myself that release. I've seen elites do them in routines forever and thought it didn't look that hard. I wasn't having much fun struggling with the low bar. While that portion is progressing, I like to end doing some of those releases because they are just fun. I sometimes to a half turn off the springboard, catching the bar from the inside...swing out, do a half turn on the bar, tap and then release.

Hey TemptressToo.... would there be any way you could upload your video to yousendit? If you can't, that's okay, I can't get youtube for certain reasons... I couldn't get your last vid either, so if you could do that one also I would love it! Again, if you can't that's all right.
Thank you!

I can't as the file is at home on my PC. If you can't see Youtube for reasons such as...it just won't work, try upgrading all your players (Windows Media, Quickplayer, Realplayer) and your Flash Players (usually, if you upgrade the 3 players...it will prompt you to upgrade Flash).

If it is a firewall blocking issue, can't help you there. Smile

Try using this or something similar. I'm not sure you're running FireFox or IE. I'm preferring the Firefox these days. You might still need to get a FLV player.
