Sometimes I stall at the bottom when practicing HSPU's. I assume this is because of lack of strength at the beginning of the movement. What is a good way to correct this deficiency? Im trying to pause at the bottom for as long as possible. 20 seconds is about all I can do right now.

Just keep working your HSPU. If you can get someone to spot you work sets of 5 making sure you do full ROM (head below hands).

If you can make yourself some paralettes too. I found using them while having someone hold my legs really helps me to get massive gains for you can go far past your hands to get full ROM.
